What Happens With My Personal Data ? / Data Protection Act
The Deed Poll's we issue are not registered in any place. You could have your Deed Poll enrolled but this is usually unnecessary and costly.
We keep a paper copy of your deed poll for 3 years. after the 3 year period the copy is destroyed.
You can choose to have a "legal Copy" deed poll issued. A legal copy is a certified copy of the original complete with seal. For a fee of £4.99 We will archive this copy of your deed poll for 5 years. Should you lose your original deed poll or need a "legal copy" we will issue this copy to you. If you need a second copy there will be a fee of £4.99.
We do keep your details on our system for 10 years. This is the information you submitted to us in our application. After 3 Years this information is destroyed.
Your Data is secure. We never divulge your personal information. One we have issued your deed poll and you no longer need our service, you information is archived for a maximum of 10 years.
What Happens To Your Data:
No personal information leaves our premises. see our exemption below
Your data is held on our computer system for 3 years
after 3 years your data will be held on encrypted disc for a further 7 years. This disk will be held on our premises in a very secure environment
After the above period the data will be destroyed in a secure way.
Any printed data will be stored for up to 3 years and then shredded
We do not store ANY information on our web server.

We provide information to the police and government bodies, when requested by them, under section 29(3) of the Data Protection Act 1998 This is only for the purpose of preventing or detecting a crime, or to assist in the apprehension or prosecution of offenders.
Conformation Of Deed Poll To Financial , Passport and other offices
Quite often we are contacted by the Passport office , Banks and other agencies to confirm the authenticity of a deed poll. We are obliged to do this. We only confirm that we issued the deed poll and do not divulge in personal details.
